Yea, if you haven’t taken serious precautions you aren’t ready to take on the warden. What I usually do is spawn in a legit army of iron golems and let them deal with that. 8 of them will destroy a warden on normal. So spawn in like 16, go about your business and run if it focuses on you.
It can sniff you out if you are nearby. Try to sneak away or use something to get it’s attention away from you. Once you got some distance on it you can safely run away and wait for it to despawn.
The warden always knows where you are and will slowly approach you, it will then get angry if you make noise or get too close to it. Whenever it spawns, leave immediately.
If you are like me, you spend hours digging a 50 X 50 block hole down over the ancient city. Then as soon as you trigger a shrieker you fly up through it and hide like a little wimp.
