Cactus pickaxe…
i found a chest with like 8 bombs and 9 iron, used the bombs on iron ore, stone, and tree, and i got those items in 5 minutes
Now try it with corruption instead of crimson

It should not frustrate me as much as it does that he forgot about the wooden variant of tools.
You need to bomb a cactus to craft a pickaxe not the tree.
My brother and i tried this and we got lucky and had a cave near spawn. It had a few chests, one containg a spear, and another with a wooden boomerang which was soon made into an enchanted boomerang at a library that had a workbench inside. We then farmed undead miners for bombs and the vine puckaxe. We made axes then it became a normal run.

Somehow i managed to guess how this played out… at the start
6:21 preeeeetty sure you had enough blocks to make housing to spawn in the merchant and just buy an anvil

You could have also wated for nighttime and had the guide kill a zombie and grt lucky with a zombie arm drop and you can get the pots and everything else
Nuh uh
Step 1: Have a torch zombie, or a slime with a torch in it spawn.
Step 2: Have the guide kill said enemy.
Step 3: Use said torches to break pots and get bombs.
Step 4: Use the bombs to destroy 1 tree, and 1 or 2 cacti.
Step 5: Craft a workbench, and then craft the cactus pickaxe.
