Can someone please tell me how to properly contain happy ghasts without having them fly away?

They won’t fly away because their programed to stay within a chunk of where they have last been interacted with

You need about 1,746,988,019 blocks for the complete build and it should take you around 8 days if you play non-stop.

Alternatively, you can just use a lead.

I named mine dinnerbone and it’s kinda hilarious flying around on an upside-down ghast lol

In my realm, we have like 12 + happy ghasts roaming around the base. They don’t ever leave the chunk and also just fly in circles tbh. Best you could do is lead them or build a huge ghast station lol

  6. In this set up from your picture, try putting a trap door under it that’s engaged vertically.

  7. In bedrock, is much easier to make entities enter in minecarts. In my base I have a minecart on top of one of those activator rails, with a redstone wiring to a button. So when I want to fly, I climb, mount and push the button to eject the ghast and fly away. When I’m done, I fly toward the minecart and the ghast on its own enters on it and stay still.

From there is all about decorating the room around it. But this is only practical for a base where the ghast will spend a lot of time awaiting, for a quick visit just use a leash and fence.

  8. I like making docks for them, and sticking it to the side of my builds. I don’t have a screenshot atm, but it’s basically a U shaped ring frame of slabs that fit around it, a trapdoors on the top and bottom of it, and a trapdoor at one of the ends of the U to lock it in place. It’s pretty minimalist, i like it.

  9. My boy and I built a big glass case with a block bar across the front that’s too small for them to escape, then brought them in one by one with leads. We call it the ghast chamber.

Pixelriffs has built some docks in his current letplay, I’ve been using those.

  11. They only fly like 20 blocks or something away from where you last got off them. Alternatively you can just attach them to a fence, or build a large cube with 1 open side that you can have a trapdoor that closes them in

I mean u can make a box like you did and then just put a fence below them and lead them. Or just lead them and let them “fly” a bit

Even though they don’t wonder off , My ghast flew into the lava in the iron farm …. Willingly …. And died. So please lead them 😭
