They should make it so if you hover over the happy icon its specifically stated that the percentage is the total amount of the prices relative to their origin. I genuinely thought that the higher percent meant the npc was happier and got confused because of the icons.
They need to add some more npc specific dialouge tbh. Like even just like one like and one dislike per character is fine. Although I feel like having multiple different alternatives would make the mechanic more enjoyable because on repeat playthrougslhs players can cater builds or strategize npc placement with what they have to sell.
