Ok full disclosure I had no idea npcs could destroy things you put out without even letting you pick it up after poof gone, but come on the docks are a really small space at the every least let me pick up my fish smoker if it blocks the way those things are very tedious to obtain. I love Willy, top 5 favorite character easily but this I WONT FORGET WILLYYYY!

I’ve never even considered setting something up somewhere other than my farm or the mine entrance. Why didn’t you just restart the day?
yeah, you’d need to put it somewhere NPCs don’t walk. they can push chests around and destroy everything else
So. What happened to it? Disappeared? Or was it destroyed? Because if you want to get it back go to the secret woods and there is a black bird beside Master Cannoli, you can buy it back
That’s why I don’t place things in areas where NPCs walk.

Its super hit or miss literally with the dang NPC’s ive had things out for weeks sometimes months and return to find it gone, i had Pam walk through and pull up all my mystic tree seeds i planted so I picked them up, I had to restart the day for another reason and Pam had done the same thing again but this time all my mystic tree seeds where gone I was bummed. Sometimes you can go to the secret forest and in the back you will find a crow who will trade you for item NPC’s wreck/made disappeared
