I was removing stone from my chest any switching from my backpack. I had prize ticket stored in my chest.
During the back and forth the prize ticket transformed into the 98 you see here.
I actually lost an undetermined amount of stone in the process. I know I had much more than 98 stone, I thought at least over a hundred maybe 200. And was going to make beehives so was kinda annoyed, then WOAH!
I switched the tickets back and forth between the chest and my backpack. Sometimes that changes glitches back to the original item. But I would have lost the prize ticket.
I have gotten extra watering cans and axes this way. ( I admit to a ridiculous amount of playthroughs) I had considered those as harmless bonuses.
This one though. I left them in the storage chest, played the rest of the day and saved.

I don’t see why not. I’ve never actually checked the wiki to see if Lewis’s prize machine looped at all or if it’s randomized by seed.
So if you’re putting things in a chest there’s a small chance it just duplicates a random item in the chest? Weird.
The title of this is great btw. You could put this is a museum.
I’d keep it. You didn’t try to exploit or do this on purpose. Think of it as a super secret hidden feature you uncovered.
Woah. I’ve never seen this. Are you using mods? Random things just switch counts?
My carrot transformed into an iridium axe this way. I still don’t understand it and haven’t had it happen again. Are you on mobile by any chance?
Mobile (which is how I play on Ayn Thor) is quite buggy.
I would absolutely keep them and I would cash in every single one of those tickets.
