The desert festival happens during the spring and happens during berry season. I love the desert festival, but having to make the decision to ignore my farm for three days during spring while winter has so much downtime frustrates me. Anyone else?

I suspect it would have…If Winter didn’t have the Night market already. Putting it at the same time as Berry season was an interesting choice, but for most (non-minmax) players I suspect by the time they get the bus the Salmonberries are less useful.

  2. The nice thing about the festival is that you don’t really have to spend the whole day there if you don’t want to. I can still collect 200+ salmonberries for the season and go to the festival every day if I want to do both. It’s even easier if you have a horse.

  3. Spring is kinda boring festival wise which makes sense year 1 since you’re doing so much to build up your farm. I think having the desert festival be something soft-year 2 helps pad out things to do while giving people who optimize an interesting goal to reach for

I just wished the desert festival wasn’t on the salmonberries days. I have to freeze time (with mods) to do everything I wanna do these three days. And when I’m playing without mods I just cry.

  5. The nice thing about the desert festival is that you don’t have to spend the whole day there. And you can still go berry hunting on Thursday.

  6. Maybe I’m the minority in this but I’ve never really collected berries. Did it once and thought “oh cool, these drop berries now” and never interacted with the bushes again

  7. I might be old fashioned, but I don’t trust the town drunk driving a bus in the middle of winter.

The desert festival is so fun and dense of activities.
It should be held once per season!!!
