50/50


Gotten his special order twice and have slain dozens of ghosts both times. I live by the 50/50 motto (it either happens or it doesn’t) so I think I’m just unlucky because I haven’t gotten one, or is there something I’m missing

    Maybe monster musk will make it easier? But yes very unlucky to not get it twice now.

    Ectoplasm the only slime that’s both valuable and completely useless! Like my love life!

    I’ve gone twice without getting it too, it does happen :-(.

    Just spam levels 50-80 or look for the mummy levels in Skull Cavern, you’ll eventually get it.

    Maybe focus on killing the dust sprites while you’re doing it to get the burglar ring, might make it more likely to drop.

    I always take the elevator and go to levels 55, 65, and 75. If there’s no ghost there, I go back to 0 and start over. I do the same with the slime: go to level 5 and reset until it appears.

    I go to the mines on a super lucky day, eat some pumpkin soup if I have one for the +2 luck, and take the elevator to floor 50, then stairs to floor 51. There’s *almost always* a ghost there. I repeat till I get the ectoplasm, which doesn’t take very long. I’ve never tried the other 55, 60, etc. floors, but this should also work methinks.

    I will usually restart the last day of the quest until I get it (if it hasn’t dropped by then).

    The putrid ghost is the one monster that actually fucks with me because of the debuff 😂 I’ll bring a basilisk claw for them but otherwise you gots to haw the frug

    Burglar Ring helps, doubles up to 19% drop chance, unless the ectoplasm is for some reason specifically not affected by that buff
