I really thought that the guy who bred a special type of chicken would like it. He has a picture of a chicken hanging above his bed and sells the cutest chicken decal at the desert festival. I really thought he'd look at it and go "Wow, how did you know I love chickens?" but he hated it
This also happened when I gave Evelyn flour for her baking and energy potion to George this is definitely not a game where you can guess what gifts they'll like based on their interests or situations.

Oh bro I gave Demetrius a mushroom on his birthday because he started the mushroom cave on my farm and is always talking about how he likes fungi especially in autumn, he reacted sooooo badly and got super angry at me. I was shocked
Actually i played some mod that made him like the statue and hates beer (after the heart event of course)
Also, dont give that Strange Bun to him even though he said to share one if youre making it with an uncharacteristic “hehe” at the end of his letter.
I usually carry a stack of diamonds and give everybody. I do t start to be friend people until later in the game.
