Roblox is a publicly owned company bro. All 40+ billion dollars of their market cap is investors’ money.
The first chart is literally more accurate. The money that players bring doesn’t even cover what they’re spending.
And what does the ads thing even mean. Do you think Roblox is making billions of dollars from ads? Roblox barely even has ads?

Roblox said they don’t make a profit and that most of their money comes from the investors

Roblox is a publicly traded company. One single goal of such a company is to keep the profits going up so more people would invest into it. They don’t make decisions based on the playerbase, or their reputation, but soley on their financial status. So, they only act once the stock falls down since when it’s steadily growing they don’t have to do anything but keep it that way.Â
Shareholders are very rich people. They provide most of the capital as shown on the first diagram. Players are simply assets that the company can manipulate to increase our and their own stock price. The whole metaverse thing was only because of a thought that people would invest into a new revolutionary thing – and they did! They don’t look at the “community”, or their “history”. Shareholders invest into buzzwords all because it’s profitable.
