From my experiences of trying, they refuse to live, let alone spawn in an underground house. They refuse to exist in any house that isn’t a surface mushroom house anytime I tried to make them.

That is really weird. You can test if its an issue with the game not realizing you beat Plantera by seeing if the other changes have gone through (like Witch Doctor selling leaf wings). If not, I’d try beating Plantera again. If so, looks like a bug and other than relogging I don’t have any good suggestions unfortunately. Obviously check any mods you might be running if this isn’t vanilla.

i didn’t know he needed a stable house for it, i bought it when he was visiting looking for a house. strange things are afoot here
