I don’t usually run with mariner and just line up about 30-50 along the left of the dock and beachside there and below Elliots cabin and I’ll get 1-5. Some days are better than others.
If you do get some, you can always turn them into Lobster bait to put back into your crab pots and this’ll increase the chance of catching them for the next day. Though I haven’t tried this method so I’m unsure how renewable it is. Let me know if you do!

Are you using Deluxe Bait or Wild Bait? Doesn’t massively increase the chances but it’ll help
Lobsters are sorta-rarish (4.5% chance baseline) so it’s honestly probably just bad RNG. If you have the ability to, take the Mariner profession as well. It removes Trash from the loot pool and equalizes the chances of getting each catch

I only get lobsters when I don’t want to get them 😭 but when I do, I consistently use deluxe bait and that usually does the trick

Because lobsters are stingy bitches that you are lucky to catch even with TARGETED BAIT.
So you turn one of your few lobsters to get bait for more lobsters and game goes “🖕 No lobsters for you”
Really wish CA would up the catch chance with bait.

Shoddy luck unfortunately. More traps should work and better bait.

I don’t know about lobster but there are crabs galore between floors 15 and 25 in the mines. Not relevant to your post but thought I’d share.

My current game I just gave up and put the first lobster I got into a fish pond.

If you had ancient seeds and the game had a trading system in place I would gladly give you 100 crabs for 1 seed!
