This is a bit of a spinoff of last Terraria Mythbusters episode. I want to try to trap a player in a world with shimmer again. First we’ll try just filling an entire world with it.

I have 2 ideas for myths:
1: If you keep the travelling merchant on screen for long enough, it's possible for two or more travelling merchants to co-exist.
2: Wearing the pharaoh's set while generating a new world makes desert pyramids more common.
To explain the second one, when I played the xbox 360 version of Terraria, I tried to get the sandstorm in a bottle. However, pyramids were much rarer, so I ended up making like 20 worlds before finding a single pyramid. At one point, I thought to myself, "Well this is going nowhere, might as well wear the pharaoh's set, maybe it'll give me 20 pyramids then." So I tried generating a world with the pharaoh's set on, and it actually generated with a pyramid. In fact, the next 3 worlds I generated had pyramids. And eventually, I was able to finally get the sandstorm in a bottle.
Also what about teleporting potions? Can u not escape with those?
Myth :
Pre terraria 1.4.4 when blocks in your spawn area broke if there where blocks in it
You could break a chest with items in it that way
I'm not sure if this would work, but maybe you could have the player teleport and instantly get hoiked into another teleporter, when hoiking can you mine lihzard brick fast enough to break it?
Myth: You can go outside the world border by setting your spawnpoint there
quite an interesting episode ! cleared up a couple of my questions, interesting to see that you would be in the shimmer but would not have the '' shimmering '' effect.
Canadien, you could use Spear Trap instead of Dart Trap, as it has much faster cooldown. And with that, portal gun scrolling method is useless.
myth: you can use shimmer teleportation to access the temple early
myth: the zenith has a maximum range. go to the edge of the ocean and try it!

Hey if you ever run out of ideas you might as well do calamity and other mods but thats only if you want to
1. Terraria worlds are geometrically similar. (Are the sides proportional?)
2. The length of the diagonal of a Terraria world is twice the length of one of the sides. (Any special relations between diagonals and sides)
3. The spawn point represents a special geometric point in a Terraria world rectangle or a triangle formed by its diagonals. (Incenter, circumcenter, maybe a triangle center)
4. The Corruption/Hallow/Crimson created from the Wall of Flesh will still be created even if the world is made out of incorruptible blocks.
Sorry about the geometry stuff. You can postpone question 3 honestly, I don't really know how one would go about solving it. I'm just curious.
Also please give us the side lengths and angle measures in a Terraria world, as well as the diagonals and triangles formed by them.
Does summoning bosses in the fully shimmer world mess with the fights? Especially interested to see the Empress of Light
Myth: Wand of Sparking doesnt have every item researched in journey mode
another way to escape that might be to use the Rod of Discord (or shimmered version) within the 2 frames ?
and as cloak and endgame mining there's no way to protect from it :/
Myth: Every enemy, even bosses, count for the celestial pillar's barriers.
I got the fattest urge to play ocarina of time again after hearing that music lmfao
Myth: If you use an Enchanted Moondial during a Pumpkin Moon or Frost Moon event, and make your way to catch up with the ground minibosses while they try to flee until it's next night, they will stay as if the event is still active even though you skipped the night.
You could at least try to spawnkill people with the Cloak, because if they don't have it the projectiles can't hit them.
Regarding the cloack, couldn't you try to force the player to move by hoiking them?
Myth: if you defeat the last celestial pillar and die right before moon lord spawns, he will wait to spawn until after you respawn. Celestial sigil also works.
I just realised that you can’t scroll through items in the Hotbar in the Mobile Version of Terraria while shimmering. But you can open the inventory and move an item to the selected slot to hold it lol. Edit: Nevermind that was probably just a bug, it worked after reloading the world.
You can place Chests on Teleporters to make them indestructible.
What happens if you use rod of discord pre plantera to get into jungle temple?
Myth: Going through 1 block of water while phasing in the 100% Shimmer world will reset the 20 seconds.
I was watching an adamchromee vid and he showed that you can spawn multiple eoc using the spawner and getting a natural spawn, now using the knowlage that we can keep bosses for extra nights if you are fast enough i wonder if you can spawn infinite eoc if you just stop them from despawning
I love how much effort WoS puts into these videos, it's not half assed to where he gives up after a few tries, they go until they get EXACTLY what the viewers want, it's nice to see
hope i'm not too late for the next one but here's my myth
if you filled the world with shimmer, but left some blocks out of bounds, could you teleport out of bounds with the 20 second teleport?
You can kill people with paladins shield by taking a lot of damage (for example, falling damage) and it writes an empty death message in chat
Myth: if you will throw dynamite at crimson heart and teleport home Brain of Cthulhu will be summoned if you still in the crimson biome
myth: while riding the slimy saddle you are immune to slow

Do the portal gun and slime mounts' fast falling effects stack so you can fall even faster?
myth: goblin scouts will appear during goblin armies.
Myth: The aeriel bane is affected by shimmer arrows.
Myth idea : the Solar Pillar always spawns on the side or in the Jungle.
Myth: if you defeat all mechanic bosses at once with a wand of sparkling, then go and beat plantera while standing still, then the final step is to beat lunatic cultist and moon lord blindfolded, after 3 seconds you will feel like an idiot
So what would happen if you didn’t have any empty spaces below the shimmer pool, would you go through the bottom of the world?
What would happen if you beat the wall of flesh the the hard mode biomes had nowhere to spawn?
Myth: you can use the quadracer to see meteors fall.
Myth: You can use the golf ball camera to stop bosses from despawning when they go offscreen, maybe you could hit a golf ball right before you die
Myth: If the block a blazing wheel is spinning around is destroyed and there are no other blocks in the world, the blazing wheel will fly off the edge of the map
Myth : The Shark Pup’s little bubble will disappear under a Nimbus Rod.
Can you shimmer through lizhard brick?
One thought that's been in my head: If you cheat a Pwnhammer into pre-hardmode, you could break demon alters to get hardmode ores.
