I've got around 600 hours in the game and recently started my 7th (ish) new farm, and just got this idea and had to share it!! I've started keeping a sign right outside my house with a "to do" list on it, because when I have too many priorities in the game at once sometimes I forget some.
It's especially helpful to remind myself to go to the bookseller or traveling cart without getting distracted. Hope this helps someone! 🤗🍓

Not sure what platform you play on, but if you have access to mods, there’s a mod for this! I believe it’s called something like To-Dew List.
I use a sign for NPCs birthdays and festivals. I often forget to check the calendar, but I got used to hovering with the mouse over the sign, so I rarely forget now.

Haha I’ve been doing this too. Mostly for the next time I log on to play I have a reminder of wtf I was doing.
I do this too! It’s especially helpful for when I don’t play for a few days and I come back with 0 recollection of what I was working on lol
There is a mod called to dew that I find real useful
So I can ignore it like I do my IRL list? Just kidding…stardew shit gets done. Actual work? Not these days.
I tried this recently, but how do you update it? I’m on PC, and it doesn’t allow me to move the cursor, meaning I need to delete text
I started doing this when I couldn’t remember wtf the dang raccoons wanted from me.
Also helpful for the monster slayer quests.
You know what, I completely forgot this was a thing. Playing modded for too long you end up forgetting half the functionalities that are already right there in the game. Now I’ve been playing a fully vanilla run and missing the various to-do list mods, but this is such an easy to keep my ADHD in check, so thank you for reminding us that these exist.
Omgosh I never thought to do that! Great idea cause I play two games at once, one on my switch and one on my ps5 and you dont wanna know how many times ive gone back for a fishing rod for the wrong dang character and have to restart my day and try and remember what I was doing with Fred instead of Tina. I cause all my own confusions never again, hopefully, thanks to you!

sometimes when i realize it’s gonna be my last day, i try to rearrange my inventory in a weird way or leave a sign in my house to remind me what i was doing… im so glad i did this after my last session, because i took like 2 weeks off and forgot i was mossmaxxing and fibermaxxing
