4 shards of amethyst is wild to turn 1 glass into 2. Maybe the recipe can be 1 shard and 8 glass for 8 tinted glass? Heck, even adding an amethyst biome or something would be awesome. Please. Please dear blocky gods, let me make my silly little bedroom with no natural light in less than 3 hours.
The prying mantis in the picture is my pet. Her name is Lilya Bogomolova. In this picture she is crying after I told her how to make tinted glass. All of her dreams are shattered, just like all the glass she collected just to hit an amethyst block wall.
Please Mojang. Please give her her dreams back.

At least that one makes sense, 1 cubic meter of amethyst + 1 cubic meter of glass = 2 cubic meters of tinted glass. Meanwhile, 1 moss + 1 cobblestone = 1 mossy cobble.
If you unblock all the buds in a geode and use a fortune pickaxe to mine the amethyst, you’ll have more than you know what to do with after a single harvest.
I actually find sand/glass to be the more annoying part to collect.
