Looks fantastic! My immediate thought is that the medieval people loved their flags/banners/buntings, so maybe have some strung between the buildings, placed on the walls of the higher towers, or mounted on the occasional flagpole?
This picture has some nice examples, tho the fabric can be any colour ofc. More colours can make it look more medieval cause people liked to show off what dyes they had available.

You’ve got a really nice emblem banner design further back there, you could add more of that one and maybe some plain-ish banners on either side to “frame” or complement it.
