okay as soon as I got my first ostrich egg, I immediately incubated it. Like, not only was a safely guaranteed another egg in late late game but an egg gives you 10 mayo. Why would you not incubate it????
And you need ostrich incubator if you finished the library (bone collector) in ginger island I really need the bat bones…. And Linus took it. I can't take it back because i did not slept in time….

You also get the "power" from the adventurer's guild that specifically tells you that the cost of lost items from Marlon is reduced. That's how I learned about buying back lost items.
You can also get a ostrich egg from rare chests in the volcano, it takes a while to find one though. Wait for a look luck day to look for one if you need an extra.

I’m pretty sure you can also get them by mining in the volcano. Chances might be rare but it’s better than having to wait in game years lol
