First time I've ever found an ancient seed in stardew, get straight to planting it and it dies 😠from what I've read its been struck by lightning I guess which is the worst luck ever lol. Now it's hoping I get another soon from mobs in the mines. RIP first ancient seed 😞

That is absolutely brutal.
you can buy them from the shop by the lake that’s thereon Fridays and Sundays
I only plant them in the greenhouse and on the island farm.
If you want more seeds easily – grow corn. Use seed maker. (It doesn’t need to be corn, it just works really well for this). Seed makers have a 1% chance to grant an ancient seed upon use. 10 corn stalks will give you enough corn to just about guarentee this. Since you need 5x gold corn for the bundle, may as well plant 50 of them. Good income, high chances of getting ancient seeds.
Use lightning rods.
Im so confused how spring 1 I found 4 ancient seeds from the mines and planted three of them (They lasted until winter which yielded me like 10?? ish ancient fruit!!) and now I just unlocked the seed maker which I will now use for profit 🙌
Do lightning rods lessen the change of random tiles being hit or do they only charge for batteries do you think?

That’s why I personally wait for the greenhouse to plant it. Nice and safe.
And it takes to long, knowing my luck time will run out before it’s done and kill it
