I was checking the SDV wiki for gifts and came across this image of Maru's old designs, and my first thought was how cute she looked with her curly hair, looking to the side. I usually play with mods that change the portraits, but I think I'll look for a mod to add Maru's old portraits; personally, I think they're prettier than the new ones. I don't know why they changed them, maybe because they didn't look "nerdy" enough.

Straight ironed hair makes her look like she wants to talk to a manger, I’m sorry. The curly/wavy hair was leagues better.

I think that she looked great but too young to be a potential LI. So maybe thats why he changed it, altho he could just have aged her and keep the curly hair
4 & 5 on the top, but with glasses would’ve been the ideal Maru

yes!!! i love her big hair. I’ve never fully romanced her and I think it’s entirely because I don’t like her sprite 😭 She has like mom hair

I like her current designs because they give her a different face than the other villagers. Stardew has a lot of same face syndrome

Put the glasses on the 2nd one and it would look perfect. Though that’s just me being a sucker for a woman in glasses. The shorter hair in the actual design just doesnt work for me

i like her 2nd one on the bottom row. i know its basically the same as her current face but something about it makes her look more like her dad to me which is cute
but yeah i do wish she wouldve had her curly hair. i cant stand how she has the straightest hair of the other bachelorettes😭

The hair kinda looks like pine cones though.
I just wish the final design put a little more texture in her hair to make it clear she has braids or dreadlocks, I love the hair on 2,4, and 5 but her final face and glasses are much better.
