I saw this a while back and I'm thinking of making my own videos (wish me luck). Is this still an ongoing issue for content creators or did it get resolved?

  1. Who the heck is doing copyright claims? He made the songs, so I don’t know what YouTube is doing accepting copyright claims that are not from him.

  2. Wonder if ConcernedApe went through the official channel. The only way to “stop” this, is ConcernedApe needs to claim Copyright on those songs. And then set it to be officially “allowed”. Or monetize it. If he doesn’t claim it, someone else could.

I love CA for his stance on this. So so so so so many youtubers use stardew music in their videos and the world is a better place for it.

  4. This interaction is from January 2023 by the way. Wonder as well if this is still an ongoing issue. Knowing YouTube, it probably got worse.

Similar to this, I tried to share a video on FB from the band Ok Go that they had posted, as soon as it shared I got a message that it only posted without sound cause of copyright infringement. The whole system of copyright infringement everywhere has minimal human oversight (if any) on major websites.

It’s wild that this is still happening when ConcernedApe clearly doesn’t want it
