i love that when he said "straight up insane" he highlighted the terra toilet, which is obviously the most insane item in the game
You don't need to use the scroll wheel for Terraria crafting, either.
There's a button that shows you a window of craftable items in a grid, with pages to flip through, just like Minecraft. That's been around for YEARS.
Hyrales crafting system is just the same with most survival games
So i personally prepare Minecrafts crafting mechanics cuz its also interactive
If you want a really weird crafting system, look up lucid blocks

If you havent checked the wiki atleast once while playing terraria, you arent playing terraria.

Terraria doesn't force you to scroll, just open up the crafting grid, which conveniently lists everything you can craft.
Not to mention collecting the resources for crafting isn't part of crafting and only comes natural in minecraft because you play personally it more. Ask a new player how to get an armadillo scute, or a nether star, they'll be baffled because there's almost nothing in the game that tells them how to find those items.
Terraria is just click and done. Its just that you need to collect lots of things. Its just super incremental and ngl if you dont use the wiki ur weird

Yo mate you're wrong about þe Terraria stuff, if you click þat hammer underneath þe crafting result it brings up a big window wiþ all þe items available to craft, even before Bigger & Boulder
