I made primitive aeronautics for Minecraft: put a chicken in a boat and it can fly

I made a small Fabric mod for Minecraft 1.21.11 called Magic Boat.

The idea is extremely simple: if you put a chicken inside a vanilla boat, the boat becomes magical and can fly.

It does not work like an airplane, an elytra, or a creative-mode vehicle. It is more like a poor little sky raft. You hold jump to slowly gain altitude, and when you stop pressing jump, the chicken makes the boat gently drift downward instead of falling like a rock.

So the full mechanic is basically:

• boat without chicken = normal vanilla boat
• boat with chicken = slow floating boat
• hold jump = slowly go up
• release jump = slowly drift down

I made it because I was thinking about floating island worlds, where players need a very early, low-tech way to cross the void before getting elytras or building huge bridges everywhere.

I like the idea that Minecraft’s first form of aeronautics would not be engines, wings, balloons, or magic fuel.

It would just be:

boat + chicken = trust the sky

It is dumb, but it feels weirdly vanilla to me.
