I've never used worldgen mods to this degree before but hot dang its awesome. Its harder to see through these screenshots, but this mountain range is an actual obstacle in my world, instead of just a big blob of high terrain sitting in a big field. I actually need to correct my course in a lower spot between two peaks instead of getting higher altitude to pass over the mountains.

have you tried pregenerating chunks? it helps a ton. if you use chunky, pregen to around 1000 blocks, and just let it run for a minute, i can get stable performance on a macbook air.
I’m using Larion world gen for similar reasons. It pairs especially well with BWG.
