I replaced Minecraft’s vanilla HUD icons with cyberpunk status bars

Hi everyone,

I recently released a Minecraft mod called CyberHUD.

Instead of replacing the whole interface or adding a massive custom UI, the mod focuses on one simple idea: turning the vanilla Minecraft HUD into clean sci-fi / cyberpunk status bars.

Hearts, armor, hunger, and air are no longer shown as normal icons. They are rendered as compact high-tech bars while staying in the same general HUD area, so the game still feels familiar.

The goal is not to completely redesign Minecraft’s interface – it’s to make the vanilla HUD feel more futuristic, readable, and visually different.

Main features so far:

• Cyber-style health bar
• Armor bar replacement
• Hunger bar replacement
• Air bar replacement
• Client-side only
• No gameplay changes
• Designed to keep the vanilla HUD layout familiar

I’m trying to make it feel clean, lightweight, and fitting for tech / sci-fi / cyberpunk modpacks.

I’d appreciate any feedback on the design, readability, or what could be improved next.
