The first house I built in this world was made out of wood and stone bricks. When I reached hardmode I needed an above ground glowing mushroom, my thought was to make my first house overgrown with mushrooms. That house was there up until a month ago when I wanted something else for spawn. That left my world without a glowing mushroom, so I made a new one.
1st was built with 50 hours in the world, 2nd made with 500.

All I can say is that both look good! Personally, the first one fits much better for the glowing mushroom biome

I actually love the second one. I think trying to make mushrooms out of blocks has been done a million ways and the second one is a neat take to me. I love the spacing of your house too. Very well done.
