I’ve done Skull Cavern once before the *really* honorable way, but I find Qi to be too overbearing to ever want to do anything to get into his good graces. Instead I used the Skull Cavern elevator mod and did it over three or four days.
I guess I didn’t use *many* staircases on the way down – so I suppose he’s not wrong about that…

‘Work smarter not harder’ is perfectly honorable, and I *did* mine the stone for a lot of those staircases. Besides, which, he never said I was expected to battle my way down.
