Right now Maru is one of the least popular Bachelorette candidates and I think it's because of her bad styling.

i actually hated her glasses so much i made a tiny content patcher mod to remove them. as someone with 20/400 vision, it’s so cliche

I totally thought she had locs at first. I spoke to her a lot when I first started playing because I was going after Harvey, and I wasn’t too familiar with how the other characters’ hair was drawn. I didn’t realize she had a bob until I saw fan art of her for the first time. But then I met Elliott, and I realized that’s just what hair looks like.

Counteroffer: Just make a new NPC with the old design. Everyone wins.
Reason: Old vs. new look like completely separate characters. And I don’t think there’s a realistic chance of completely overhauling the appearance of an NPC that’s been with us for ten years now.
Also: Current Maru is fine and I will die on that hill.

I honestly thought she was a child on my first playthrough. When I learned she was a marriage candidate, I was quite shocked
If she can’t have the curls again, at least give her locs instead of the bob 😭

I think it’s rather silly to think that Maru would straighten her hair all the time when that waste time she could use for science. I know that’s why I had braids all of engineering school.
Of course there is the possibility she has naturally straight hair, I know it happens but I think it’s fair to say considering Demetrius’ fro it was unlikely.
