From what I’ve seen on the wiki and posts about the different farm types, the Meadow Farm has a total of 4,207 usable tiles, with 2,066 for crops and 2,141 that you can build on but not farm

So it’s actually the second biggest farm in the game, only behind the Beach Farm with 4,628 tiles, and bigger than the Standard Farm which has 3,662 tiles

That’s why I think it’s pretty underrated, because it’s not just for animals, you can also grow a lot of crops there

And if you also consider not just the space but the fact that in other farms blue grass is a late-game item, plus you start with a coop and two chickens, and you also begin with a dresser that lets you store clothes and rings without taking up chest space, which usually takes a while to get on other farms, and on top of that you can fish there too, when you take all of that into account it ends up being one of the best farms in the game

I love the meadowlands farm. It and the beach farm are top tier for a playthrough not focused exclusively on crops.

Wow. Seeing builds like yours makes me want to spend more time on the look of my own farm!

This is actually my only problem with this farm.  I like that early game struggle and the starter chickens make the beginning so much easier. The layout is very nice, though. If it didn’t come with the coop it would probably be one of my favorites.

You did a very nice job with your layouts. The slime hutch looks so spooky!

Yes! I think the same as you, I restarted playing on that farm, and I didn’t regret it! Besides liking the animal part, the farm is much prettier than the standard one, and nothing against the standard one, but the fact that it’s just a giant space with a lot of nothing is a little sad! hahaha Besides, the meadow farm has a huge space to grow things, in addition to the greenhouse! People sometimes underestimate it too much.
The only thing that bothers me about the meadow farm is the fact that the pond at the beginning is a bit far away! Which made me find it useful to build a water well.

tbh I love it just for being aesthetically pleasing while not being too heavily themed towards any particular gimmick. standard is nice and all but being a big empty rectangle is kind of boring…

It is the prettiest farm in my opinion, making it my default even though my eternal goal every playthrough is to have as few farm animals as possible.

The early coop also lets you make gold star mayo quickly which, aside from being a good source of income early game, is a really good item to toss in the soup during the Luau for maximum friendship boost.

  7. my previous favorite was the forest farm, but after translating some forestry techniques i learned irl into the game my farm is flush with trees !!

Yeah I should give it a chance sometime, it’s the most bomi at start except maybe Riverlands with the fish smoker, if you don’t want the chicks selling them something like 500 more than enough to buy 15 parsnips
