  1. Earlygame: Throarbin assuming everyone else speedrunning but slowly gearing up, Cataclysmic playing it in normal boss progression. Other ppl: attempts to speedrun and skip bosses but getting clapped.

  2. Awesome series, super fun watch and great idea to try with some of my friends. Few things I thought of and wanted to share/discuss:

    – while sending duke is the intuitive plan since it puts you ahead without progressing the world, its def better to do duke after plant. If you put a world into post plant early no1 will have enough time to finish it (since they don't have duke weapons) until it cokes back to you. Putting one world into post plant and then setting up your sweep for when you get that world again is 100% the play since you guarantee you get a post plant world instead of having to hope some1 else kills her
    – you can very easily steal an item from the dungeon by bringing an EoC in with a bunch of servants, or luring any 7 enemies down with you. Dungeon guardians are subject to the regular spawn cap so you can take the early key you get (in med and large worlds guaranteed, about half the time in small) and use it on a chest. If you get lucky with a shadow key you can put a world into HM way before the any1 else is ready, and if you don't you still have a post skele weapon way earlier than intended
    – dynamite is really effective in skipping progression, which is great if you want to put a world into HM way early and have the next person deal with it while you gear up in the next pre HM world you get with WoF gear
    – When you're behind, farming for good potions might be the best use of your time. Most people who were behind were just trying to make things happen and getting nowhere since they weren't prepared enough. Getting potions allows you to be productive while waiting for a world that gives you some easy gear (like a HM world to get a random Uzi or NPC weapon, post plant world for any non mini boss dungeon weapon) and then come back since you have pots, letting you progress with less gear.
    – bit of a stretch but what if you spend your time farming early OOA for a bunch of medals to then get a post golem world and buy t3 OOA gear and beat the game with it. Only issue with this is the lack of accessories and it's a pretty major issue but this could at least be a comeback strat. Ig another issue is that if this doesn't work you've got pre HM gear while every1 else has Duke weapons, but you could also do this post mech, kinda solving both problems (I like Pre HM just bcuz its so easily cheesed with hooks platforms that its effortless). You would need some way to get a (post golem) weapon that isnt a sentry though.
    – full sending brain with a few sticks of dynamite lets you get a solid amount of creeper kills if you die to the dyna and let them all home into your dead body (which enemies for some reason agro onto a bit after your death) and then die to the rest of the dyna you threw, letting you get early hellstone.
    – you can also full send destro instead of mining titanium by building up and raining dyna which takes about 300 dyna to get the kill (the ocean strat doesn't work on master) but you only need one HM world to actually get the summon; the money and dyna can be gathered in pre HM, and the boss can be spawned in pre HM (I just tested that this is still true on latest patch). Not only is it better than grinding ore bcuz you don't need HM worlds, but its also WAY faster to do
    – also duke can be fought in a pre HM world, the summon just spawns in HM. This is basically specifically for Red but if instead of spending literally 2h putting every world into HM he got worms in one HM world and did duke while every1 else got their own worlds into HM he couldve been way more ahead (mobility isn't an issue bcuz chillet is just goated, and lets you do a lot of the fight by just dashing back and forth and running away from nados)
    – while spawnblocking was banned, blocks like HM ores and liz bricks that other people might not have the tools to mine are still useful; you can spam then down the hellevator to make it unusable, you can block off dungeon access (when you need to go cultist -> pillars -> ML in 30 mins a wall of liz bricks can easily make the difference), you can spam chloro in the golem arena as it very possible that some1 didn't do all 3 mechs, and prob more that I'm not creative enough for.
    – literally what if you just flood the golem chamber with shimmer… It takes 2 pumps and some wire and feels like it could mess someone up bad
    – ocean biomes are surprisingly easy to remove as you just need like 40 dyna to remove the sand and drain it and doing that on both sides can force everyone who gets the world after you to fight him enraged or rebuild the biome (which is far more effort than destroying it)
    – you can remove dead mans chests and put them in the dungeon (since you should have the mechanic by then) to set someone back a good minute and a half. All it takes is keeping the explosives and chests from when you disarm the dead mans'

I know a lot of these are me getting a little too creative but at least half of these seem like better ideas than just rushing pre mech duke and sitting around waiting for a good world to finish

Also idk if this was allowed but if you do golem early and get a picksaw you could steal every golem spawner and limit it to one post golem world. Didn't include it cuz it doesn't seem practical given its quite easy for someone to beat the game off a post golem world (at least one of the four people) but would be quite funny to do. I know you also used to be able to do this with actuators/liquids but idk if you still can

  3. I do kinda wish these types of videos were just one persons playthrough. The constant jumping back and forth between perspectives can be frustrating to try keep up with. But i love the videos nonetheless

  4. I feel like you should randomize who gets the world each time you pass it so that players do not always have the same player before or after them.

  5. Would be funny if it was hardcore, it would add a small PvP part, like everyone tries to hide traps in there worlds and such.

  6. well, editing throarbin pointed out an interesting strat: be the first to beat golem and get a picksaw, then block off all other jungle temples with lizhard brick. No, it isnt cheating when hoiks are allowed, as long as it remains only a few blocks thick. At that point, it is a race to be the one to beat the only post-golem world every 2 1/2 hours (on a cycle), where the limit is fishron gear unless you are the one to take down a pillar AND the cultist.
