Minecraft skyscrapers are hard
In this Mumbo Jumbo Minecraft video, Mumbo tries building Minecraft skyscrapers for the first time in a decade. Minecraft skyscrapers often look really bad – reminiscent of 2012 Minecraft constructions. Today I hope to change that by learning the rules of how they work.
BIG INSPO!

Soooo when you gonna use the sulfur cubegeysers ? i can't wait to see what you can make with it, cuz the chaos cubed is made for redstoners and minigames.
The tower at the back is definitely looking to Mumbo's right side clutching a grey box with its arms and legs. Also, very cute.
Meanwhile the other corner of the tower is screaming to Mumbo's left holding its red hurting belly.
Is it a Janus tower?
Isnt netherwart bricks a lighter shade of nether brick?
The building you’re building this season is giving the vibes of the game Stray
Hey mumbo, I implore you to not forget about the street level. I am sure you have already thought about this, but navigating the streets of such a dense city can be very immersive and cool
These are so epic. Great job, Mumbo!
this whole build is reminding me of the big tescos near me thats nice at the front but massively run down everywhere else. like theres a whole apartment block on top of part of it
I think the red building works nice with the darker one in front of it, would the red one stand alone it would not look that good.
If there are some more darker skyscrapers around the red one, it would be an outstanding view.
And I imagine one really hightech and polished skyscraper in the Middle of them all, where the elite of the elite is living would make an really nice look.
I'm looking forward to what you have in mind and love to see the results!
What about the Pacific as the inspiration?
In Hong Kong there are these sort of sky bridges that run between a lot of buildings, maybe that could be a cool idea to make the skyscrapers more cohesive? It would also make the buildings feel way more lived in
thinking about building as jazz is actually such a helpful analogy. Also as someone who is currently trying to learn to build with nothing but a maximalist aesthetic and a bad habit of never finishing any gaming projects ever, I'm really enjoying your building journey these past two seasons. It's very inspiring!
Mumbo and his Tuff bottom…. Must sit down a lot!
Mumbo, if you want a really weird skyscraper, look up the I-4 Eye Sore in Florida 😂
check star wars and Corrassant cityscape of people living on top of eachother
So much fun
mumbo you have to swap to axiom instead of world edit 😭😭
I think it looks great! I love the offset shape of the last skycraper.
He has come a long way since sugarcane pillar sugarcane brick wall.
you take inspiration from the slum citys in ready player one
❤❤❤
Hey mumbo I was just thinking what would be cool in the skyscrapers would be to like theme each one like with a shop for something and then build a farm inside
If only there were copper or iron ladders in the base game to make a proper high rise fire escape out of that "nonsense wall"
Please check out Simon Stalenhag. His art is amazing and I think it would be a great inspiration for the style you are going for.
Have you seen Sluda Builds The Worst City on Earth, Built in Minecraft? He built all of Kowloon fairly realistically!
That red H building is looking good, but it might benefit from a review once the server is updated and cinnabar becomes available
