I think 10 or 12, ponds to farm seafoam pudding, ponds for red eel, and ponds for the legendary fishes and I think some of their Jrs.

I’ve just started Year 1 Fall on my current farm, and I have 4 right now (3 fully built, and the 4th will be finished soon)
I still need the Deluxe Coop, but I’m focusing on getting more Fish Ponds set up first

I have 12 on my current farm! They fit nice in snug in one quadrant of my four corners farm and get me plenty of legend II roe, along with farm totems and Spicy Eel when I’m lucky.

Only one, with Super Cucumber. Doesn’t seem to really do much other then roe every once in a long while. Maybe I’m missing something lol
Got 4 for the legendary fish, got 2 for expanded legendarys, got another 4 for cool drops, sturgeon for caviar, one for radioactive ore, 3 ready to be used in case I see another cool fish so like 14

In my most recent save I have 21, but my max is 30 on my beach farm save. All legendary fish, I kept a sea cucumber pond until mid/late game to regularly fish all but one out to make a bunch of lucky lunch.

I tried out the Fish Pond dupe on The Legend, and so I now have 3, pumping out roe.
