Have this bamboo farm, and I noticed some of the bamboo just won´t grow further.
They have about 7 in size, so they are not fully grown.
The top, upon inspecting with F3 says stage: 1
However only the ones in front of the observer refuse to grow.
They have space and light. Others around grow normally, they are all inside the same chunk.
Any ideas on what could I try or what seem to be the issue?

Imagine being a plant and having a giant mechanical eye staring at you twenty four seven.
It’s too shy
just put a row of observers
Its a grow’r, not a show’r.
Max height is slightly random so some won’t grow to the full height and will just stop
How tall does the bamboo need to be to reach the observer? If it’s more than 12, then that’s your problem.
why is the observer at the top, you know you can put it lower right
Not enough light. There’s a clear correlation between the sea lanterns and the bamboo growth, all of the fully grown stalks are no more than three blocks away from the lanterns.
If you break them, do they still top-out just below the observer?
Trusting your harvesting to a single observer is very inefficient. Either reduce its height (plant could be maxed out) or place more observers to detect other plants too; or both.
Change the height to same as the sugar cane (3 blocks height), add extra storage system and crafters to avoid overflow in case. Or have two daylight detectors run all pistons at sunset and sunrise.
