Fridge is great! When you cook it uses the inventory from the fridges. You can buy additional fridges from Robin and put them in the kitchen and cooking uses food from all of them.
It’s nice when you’re a hoarder 🙂

Not only can you store items, but you can cook using items in it, similar to crafting with items on chests via a workbench. Very convenient – but make sure you don’t put valuable ingredients in!

Gonna give you some advice,
When you get legendary fish don’t store them in the fridge, you’ll consume it in a recipe and have regrets,
When you get to ginger island you’ll get a pet egg, I won’t spoil what one, but don’t put it in the fridge, you’ll use it if you use an egg recipe and that’s major sad times, same for the eggs you get specifically in the skull cavern.
And you can buy more fridges from Robin, you’ll also get more recipes the more you befriend the locals!

Well I guess I’m fridging wrong because I use my fridge as my minors storage to save my mine run stuff and stow my regular day stuff when I go on a mine run.
