I always have a habit of building a house exactly in the center, where you spawn. And under the house there is always a huge warehouse of all things. I throw away almost nothing. Is this normal? I just don't know how else to implement a warehouse so that it is easily accessible

Tear it down and build a wooden rectangle
Basement definitely. Add wooden floor under the chests and stone slabs under that wooden floor so it will look like house is built on some solid foundation
