Am I the only one who still builds bases like this?


every time I try to build a good base I give up and just do npc jail cells, anyone else out there like this or just me?

    There a lot of people that do. I usually try to build a few boxes in every relevant biome for pylons, or even repurpose underground cabins, If I am extra lazy

    Until I can get them into a normal house, they go straight into the NPC locker.

    I’ll build the tower but I’ll use a the themed furniture stations for each layer and I’ll build it with a 3 house base, no doors on the side and I’ll have platforms going bottom to top in the middle on the floors (appropriately themed ofc) so that why I can get in and out easily, accesses them easily, and no mobs can get in from the side, besides the ones that go through walls

    That’s close to the way I do it. I make an apartment complex for about 10-12 NPC, and then I have the rest supporting pylons across the world.

    They always get cells first in my worlds, they’ll get real houses when I get around to it

    oooo pretty npc prison probably not the only one but I feel like pretty bases are just nicer and I will stash my npc prisson far out of the way
