My dad passed away early this morning. I am stuck out at my college apartment, and can't get back to my family today. I have nothing to do but sit, answer the phone and try and pass the time. I made my father a gravestone in my hardcore world. I placed it on a hill facing out over the ocean facing west, so he can watch the sun set. I know it is stupid, but it is giving me a place to be with him again.

It’s not stupid at all, we all grieve differently, this way he’s cemented in your world forever, and you can always visit whenever you like

  2. Hey, don’t ever let anyone tell you what you can and can’t do to grieve. It’s okay to do things like this, because as long as it helps in some way, it’s okay.

Hope everything goes good for you in life, and I wish you and your family the best of luck.

don’t call it stupid. sometimes you have to channel grief into other things, and if this is your way of doing it, that’s fine. there’s nothing wrong with it. sorry for your loss.

It ain’t stupid bro, that’s just how you grieve and we (YES WE, THE COMMUNITY) respects it.

Sending condolences and hope you recover from the problems or anything that’s bothering you lately and yeah what a nice & sentimental build dawg, shaders being the cherry on top is valid.

  7. I also unexpectedly lost my father young. Just sending you love and condolences. It seems impossible now but I promise it will get better. He loved you.

My sincere condolences for your loss. This is a very fitting and moving tribute. Definitely not stupid. It’s called grieving and your build is superb on so many levels.

I’m so sorry to hear that. I lost my uncle a week ago. This was a very thoughtful gesture to have done for your dad.

It’s not stupid at all, it’s incredibly respectful. I’m very sorry for your loss and may your father rest in peace. Losing a parent is super hard and you do whatever you need to do to help yourself feel better. Your dad would be and still is proud of you for doing this for him. Take care of yourself my friend. I wish you all the happiness in the world.

I was just thinking about doing this for my mommy who passed away 2 years ago. I think it’s really sweet. It hurts me that I feel like I don’t get to share the things I love with her anymore, so it’s nice to have ways to feel like I can still make her a part of my life, and I know she watches every second. I love and miss you lots mommy ❤️💔

I really appreciate everyone’s condolences and support. I am at my apartment, and I didnt have much to do besides read, study or play a game. This felt like the most meaningful thing I can do at the moment. His health has been deteriorating for a while, (liver failure). He never was much of a gamer, I think the most complex game he ever played was Super Mario Bros or Wii Sports. But I am glad that I have a place to feel close with him in my favorite game. I am stuck out at my college till tomorrow, so I am just trying to get by. I’m trying to make the area nice, adding trees and maybe a pond or something. When I was building the first tree, there was a chicken that laid an egg, which i through down next to my dad and I got a chick, which I named after him, Joseph
