All it takes is 2 snow carpets and 1 moss carpet, though it does have to be on flat ground, I know when Honey blocks were added, people talked a lot about using them to make 1 block pens, but I'm unsure if this method has been found before, and it is vastly cheaper, anyway, very useful if you didn't know, and a good use for snow for me, would love to know if anyone else has posted about this!

For changing elevation, I just found, you can transition the leaves to a fence post, with normal grass, and they don’t jump onto the leaf block despite it being possible diagonally.
