I quit and saved the game before turning off my laptop, why did it get corrupted? how can I fix this? I don't have any backup since I thought it's automatically saved in the cloud. Idk how these things works, Do I really have to make a new character when I've spent a lot of it already in this character?

I’ve been trying to figure that out too. tmodloader doesn’t seem to allow me to transfer my terraria characters over as well… if you can figure it out, please let me know. Thanks!

Loaded up my save file in terra map to see if it’s just my character that just been corrupted… I’m soo fucked.
Yiu sure you don’t have .bak files in the same folders? Those are automatic backups, just copy the backup and remove .bak
