Depending on who you side with the bus gets fixed with magic so it’s not hard to believe it’s now enchanted and can teleport like the ones who fixed it.

Portals. The answer is the wizard made portals. One at the end of the tunnel and one at the end of the desert. Making it a loop. There’s also an additional portal to bring people from outside the loop. Yep yep. Not crazy sounding at all lol

There’s a tavern down the road that Pam likes to hit before heading back to pelican town. It’s more fun for her to drive once she’s sauced.
Maybe, just maybe, it isn’t a plane, but a cilinder. This way the truck only goes forward and always get back to where it started.
