Deep in the forest, Steve finds a lonely puppy crying beside its dead mother.
He decides to take it home.
What starts as a simple act of kindness slowly turns into a story about friendship, loyalty, and waiting.
After a few months of work, I finally finished my first fully animated Minecraft short film made in Blender.
(Attached GIF is only a short clip from the full animation.)
Before this, I only made smaller cinematic/music-style Minecraft videos inside the game itself, so this is my first real attempt at creating a complete animated story from scratch.
I really enjoy telling stories more through atmosphere, music, sound design, and visual scenes rather than heavy dialogue. A lot of the emotion in this animation is carried by the soundtrack and the pacing of the scenes.
I still notice many flaws myself — awkward animation in some parts, scenes that could use more sound design, and many things I want to improve. But after around 4 months of learning, rendering, reworking scenes, and balancing real life, I decided it was finally time to stop endlessly polishing it and just share it.
I genuinely want to keep improving and creating more emotional Minecraft short films in the future.
If this sounds interesting to you, I’d really appreciate any support, feedback, or even just giving it a chance ❤️
