Easy strategy is to make a minecart track fully horizontal in the sky but below the height where wyverns spawn. Then get a ranged weapon and shoot slightly upwards to try to hit the eye(look at health bar while shooting to see whether his hp is going down and if it is keep shooting at same angle). After this go for the right hand eye and left hand eye. Also minecarts can outrun moonlord so your job is to basically keep him offscreen or only left /right hand on screen. If you go too far away he will teleport on you. Also hammer the left and right end of minecart track and ride on it to see if it bounces you in opposite direction. This will mostly work and for meele go with the day break the damage over time isn’t shown on the dps meter or what ever so it’s like 2x as good on single targets then solar eruption.
