I tried to google an answer but didn’t get any clear results or ones I understood so I’m coming here instead for a bit of help please!!!
I have attached two photos, one of the temple I would like to build around my iron farm to jazz it up and all that, the second of what my iron farm looks.
My fear is that if I build this temple with the wooden roof and the orange terracotta, will the golems start to spawn on top that, instead inside and in my actual trap farm?
I read somewhere that yes they will spawn on the roof unless I use specific block like grass blocks but then I also saw another Redditor showing off what they built around theirs and they used solid blocks for a roof. There was no information on whether it still worked or not.
I play Bedrock on console, thanks for any help or advice!!!

So from what I know, they will spawn 6 blocks above or potentially 5-6 blocks below the villagers so, As long as your higher than that you should be okay
As long as all blocks within spawning distance are non-spawnable you will be fine.
You are probably fine
Bedrock iron farms spawn at the highest block within 6 blocks above the head of the first bed. I would add another 2 for the golem and another 1 just to be safe, but as long as you leave that much space you should be fine. On the sides you probably want to leave 8-9 blocks away from the bed.
You should be fine, I’d just recommend making a ceiling (and walls?) out of dirt or slime blocks (something easy to break) to make sure you’re far enough from the farm before starting a build. Then, if it does break, you can troubleshoot quickly and move on with your build.
Should be fine, but try putting a basic structure over one in creative first if you want to be sure
