I have had this happen somewhat frequently actually on Switch. Only started after 1.6 came out, and I tend to notice it happening when I eat while a bomb is getting ready to detonate. Give it long enough and the controls will come back, but uh, you might not survive very long afterwards with those guys swarming you.

No. Most would leave Meowmere at the house when they have the Galaxy hammer. But its fine, no judgement, I like using it too.

That’s just the Hydra, nothing to worry about. Cut off one head and it’s replaced with two more, increasing its power each time.
Recommend bringing your nephew Iolaus with you to burn the neck after severing each head to prevent regrowth.
If you see a lady with snakes for hair, or three one-eyed monsters you should retreat and come back to me for further advice.
Oh and if you meet a villager called Helen, definitely don’t ask her to elope – dad has a bit of a temper on him.
