Stardew Valley doesn’t have any microtransactions because Eric Barone values the player ‘more than the money I could squeeze out of everyone’

  1. While it’s a very cool sentiment, and Eric Barone is indeed very awesome. This is looks like the next low-effort article of the week, and should we condone that?
Is it perhaps time to not allow links to those shitty articles written in 5 min?

We must protect him at all costs, because he protects us from all the costs.

this is a nothing burger. 10yo farming sim doesn’t have micro transactions, the bar is on the floor

No need to squeeze for money when people are literally throwing it at you

I’ve bought this game on 4 or 5 different platforms. I just enjoy playing it so much. I think a lot of it is because there’s no push to get upgrades faster, you can play at your own pace.

I’ve always had this opinion and believe a good game becomes an okay game with micro transactions and you’ll never have a success like stardew valley if your game even seems like it’s trying to squeeze money from your base.
