New Features

Sulfur Caves biome

  • If exposed to the surface, the biome will generate with all the features of the underground Sulfur Caves biome

Sulfur Cube mob

  • Sulfur Cubes containing a block inside are now immune to damage from Magma Blocks, as well as from other Sulfur Cubes that contain a Magma Block

Changes

  • The game will now use OpenGL graphics API by default
  • Beds are now slightly more bouncy to match Bedrock

Changed "Graphics API" Video Setting

  • "Vulkan" is now marked as "Experimental"
    • You can still use it if you want, it works well on most common systems, but may reduce performance or cause instability on some other systems
  • "Default" option will now use OpenGL behind the scenes
  • The setting will be reset to "Default" for all players

UI Sprites

  • Added friends/background_dark — a darker variant of the friends/background panel sprite, used as the background for confirmation dialogs in the Friends UI

  1. Hopefully OpenGL being set to default again doesn’t mean any more delays on Vibrant Visuals on Java. Really hoping to still get that this year!

Damn, sucks about this OpenGL stuff. Vulkan was working phenomenally for me. Like a drastic improvement in both FPS and stability.

Hoping before the end of the cycle it’s all sorted out!

  3. Finally we got jumping on the bed parity, now lets hope java players wont hurt their head and need to call a doctor

Repulsion gel beds… Jump off a ledge, bounce back up to another ledge. On the list of things I need to build half a base around on my next survival world.

Damn, the Magma Sulfur Cube is gonna have crazy mob farm potential by having a bunch of them in an enclosed space.
