the here chat box displays messages from every player in a certain radius (kind of like proximity VC) and also puts a word bubble above your head like the original chat used to, but it seems like depending on how the map is assembled in whatever game you’re playing you could end up seeing messages from people who aren’t near you displayed in the chat box.
the Global box chat displays messages from every player in the server, and does not make a bubble above your head when you chat in it.

Servers being separated into age groups made the chat feel dead and killed the social aspect of the game, so this is Roblox’s attempt at somewhat solving the issue
