What makes playing a horror game enjoyable?


Like if u play with ur friends, what makes the horror game hilarious or enjoyable?

Like is it the reactions, the goofy/trolling moments, or what?

    Playing with friends, without friends, with cool story, with cool gameplay, with cool visual and…. Scary.

    i like to be scared, thats what makes a horror game enjoyable.

    the horror games on roblox are pretty basic unfortunately, but theyre fun with friends or a big group of randos imo. i like to have groups of 5+ and just fuck around, people can be funny.

    I remember having a potato avatar and my friend walked around the corner and legitimately jumped because he saw a potato with legs.

    playing with friends, no perma-death, good story, not too many mazes or too many boring find ”x” objects, scary/suspenseful atmosphere, puzzles are a plus.

    Some good examples: Silent Psycho, Silent Mansion, Floors Have Teeth

    The plot, storyline, and how naturally it flows throughout the playthrough is what makes it enjoyable, though dont forget about the scares.

    Any horror game because if I’m with friends I’m just there singing Christmas songs with my dumb avatar

    Basically I don’t take it seriously, one time we played that short horror games and did the stalker one and as soon as the door opened I made a run for it and never came baaaack…
