EXPEDITIONS is a solo venture by the author of the Rename Compat Project and has one of the longest feature lists of any non-Expert pack ever released. It has totally custom spawn lists for every biome, tons of integrated recipes, slowed progression, no Create and no quest book. The most recent update also integrated Caverns & Chasms: Polished Up!
It was released in March but many of the people who began playing at release are still playing it today. Check out that feature list to see why. Its on the CurseForge page.

No AI is really cool and good. Though “no Create and No questbook” makes me sad when listed as features, I like those !
