The New Roblox Update Is Dangerous… (Age Verification)

Idk if they are able to just used the date of when an account was made for un-verified users (not the date of your birth!), that is still on the same device, let's say Oppo 4g or something

cause I'm sure but this is just a speculation, that they have data of what device I'm on or at the very least, have it so when the account was first created and have no signs of it being transferred to another device recently, recently as in 3 months or 4 months and it will automatically place that account on their respective, I'm sure I'm on at the end of Roblox kids and early or is about to be put in Roblox select,since I'm no longer -16

Edit:I just about hate age verification so much, it's almost predatory to me as the player, they keep forcing me to do age verification when I don't want to and now I'm running the risk of not being able to play fun and creative games anymore

I think the main reasons unverified adults being in Roblox kids is a bad idea, is because of the fact that chat isn't fully gone from the kids section.. Kids under 9 can still get access to the chat via connected parent accounts and parental controls. So if a pred gets into the kids group, they can make a second account, get it marked as a adult account, connect it to the kids account, enable chat through the parental controls, and then find a kid that has chat enabled as well..

There's no good ending to these "age-check" updates.. There will always be exploits and bypasses to let predators keep doing what they are doing..

adobe stock is gonna have a MASSIVE increase in people using stock images to get around this lol

After watching this video, I'm done with Roblox's stuff already. They've been only making Roblox less and less safe for younger users. I honestly hope that more states keep suing them, especially over this update when it comes. I don't want to be stuck playing games made for kids, nor do I want to do the dumb age verification thing so when this update rolls out, I'm just through with Roblox….I say that and I may still go onto Roblox….Idk though. We'll wait and see. (Edit: My keyboard is not being nice to me today which is why I've edited my comment. >:|)

IT STOPPED MY THING

I was so annoyed to hop on Roblox today to find I couldn’t even hop on any of my favourite games because it’s completely locked me out. Only once I do AV will it be available smh so ridiculous.

David has fully had enough of us not verify our ages!!

One thing that i thought is they go the account age way which is if account is made x amount of days before the system was Announced (let’s go with like 90 days) they can use the date of when the account was made like if account X was made July 21st 2010 they know at least the person is 16 so they go at that (yes I know this has a couple flaws but you can’t account for everything)
Edit: forgot to add that after the announcement any accounts made will be under the effect of age verification being mandatory

4:25 literally just go in a game where u can draw or change ur display name and its easy for them to talk to kids, this isnt that hard to figure out

roblox made it way wau more unsafe and from what ive seen theres heen kidnapings more often from roblox ever since the age group update so imagine what this update will do

Why did i just wake up this morning and every single roblox game on the platform just locked itself.
Im non verified and all games are locked. My account pretty much just got deleted as I cant do anything until I age check.

I dont think this has to do with the 16+ thing because even steal a brainrot is unplayable. (I obviously dont play that but as an example ofc)

But like yeah o just cant play anything anymore. Since I live in Australia I never got the roblox kids update either. But until now I realised my alt has it but my main doesn't. I assume I got the riblox kids this morning? My guess is that my main was supposed to get it but it jsut failed to somehow and it locked every single game on the platform like wtf roblox.

The chat separation was one thing,still bad but still,now adding that games are blocked unless u get a certain amount of players that we still have no idea what they mean by is going to kill roblox for good,if games cant be made then nobody will get on,nobody getting on means no money, no money means roblox can't survive an they don't care because theyd rather take the nuclear option over actually doing their damn jobs
