In Stardew Valley, the video game character buys flowers from Pierre's shop, then meets up with a romantic friend to join villagers in performing a stilted dance. The dancers never touch each other.

What if the computer avatars touched and in doing so came to life?ย  For a few joyful moments, they dance together in the meadow. When they lose their connection, the magic ends and they must return to their virtual existence.

My husband and I enacted this scene and hope you enjoy it!

Appreciation to professional dancer Denise Sobiewski for her help with the choreography and valiant efforts to teach us the basics of Viennese waltz.ย ย  Thanks also to Tom for his masterful performance as Pierre, to Connie and Elena for their videography, and to Kaden for his help with the video editing.

That was beautiful. You two did a great job on your reenactment. I would definitely watch more of these

Wtf is the background music a stardew-valley esque parody of the Meat Man music from Little Runmo by Gooseworx?!?

This is the best thing to have graced this sub. I love how much fun everyone is clearly having, plus 10/10 dancing. Can we get more incredibly cute live action adaptations please

  4. This is so wholesome! I hope Pam didn’t spike the punch this year with her Salmonberry vodka

  5. This was definitely the flower dance, and I also do some ballroom dancing and that is some legitimate Viennese waltz!! Super fun!
